This feature reduces the battery's power consumption, allowing the unit to last longer. The 1 days estimation is based on a driving period of 20 hours of driving time per day. Results may vary due to longer or shorter driving times. For longer time applications, this GPS comes with a 12v cigarette lighter power adapter for powering the GPS continuously. ~
